What is a Recycler and how do I use it? Why did I get fewer materials back?
A Recycler breaks unwanted items down into resources. You'll find them at gas stations, at the Miner and the Forester, and in cities.
How to use it
Put the items into the input slots and switch the recycler on. Each slot shows its own progress and the time remaining. When it's done, take the resources from the output slots. Only items that can actually be recycled will go into the input slots — raw resources can't be recycled.
Two things to know
Ammunition doesn't always give everything back. When you recycle ammo, some of the materials can be lost. That's intended, not a bug, and it applies to ammo only — everything else returns its full amount.
A full recycler stops instead of dropping things on the ground. If there's no room in the output slots, it halts without consuming what's in the input, so nothing spills out and nothing is destroyed. Empty the output and switch it back on.
Enemies can hear a recycler running, so it isn't a quiet thing to do.
