Server Modes and Filters in OXIDE

OXIDE offers several server types and filters to help you choose the gameplay style that suits you best. Below are the main modes and the labels shown in the server list.

PvP (Player versus Player)
A mode where players can freely fight each other:

  • player-versus-player combat is enabled

  • base raiding is allowed

  • there is a risk of losing resources and items

Suitable for competitive, high-risk gameplay.

PvE (Player versus Environment)
A mode focused on the player against the world rather than against other players:

  • attacks on other players are disabled

  • player bases cannot be raided or destroyed (if a cupboard is placed on the base)

  • the focus is on survival, building and exploration

Ideal for relaxed play and learning the mechanics.

Premium
Premium servers are available to players with either PREMIUM or PREMIUM+ — both versions grant access. On these servers you'll find increased rates and more comfortable conditions.

Note two things about Premium servers:

  • The Safe and the resource shop are switched off there — everyone plays on equal terms. Nothing is lost; you can collect from your Safe on any other server type.

  • Premium status gives no combat advantage — it grants access and convenience.

DeathMatch & Team DeathMatch
DeathMatch is a free-for-all PvP mode on a small map. The first player to reach 30 kills wins. You spawn with full metal armor, an assault rifle, ammo, medkits and barricades. Kills restore health and replenish ammo. Crafting, the shop and the Safe are disabled. AI bots may fill the match. It is always daytime.

Team DeathMatch (TDM) is the team version: two teams on a small map, first to 100 kills wins. You're assigned to a team automatically and wear team-coloured armor, friendly fire is off, and after a win the next round starts with the sides switched.

Both are for fast combat practice without the survival elements.

Server labels
A server card can show:

  • Wipe schedule — Daily, Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly: how often server progress is wiped

  • Rates — the resource multiplier, and a separate multiplier for scrap

  • Newbie — a server for new players (see "What are Newbie Servers?")

  • Premium — a Premium-only server

  • PvE — a PvE server

  • No PC — no PC players on this server

Server list filters

  • Search — find a server by name or number

  • PvE Only — PvE servers only

  • Premium — Premium servers only

  • No PC — servers without PC players

  • Daily / Weekly / Biweekly / Monthly — filter by wipe schedule (you can select several at once)
